**The Position**

This position has a hybrid setup with approximately 2-3 days per week on site.

**Tasks & responsibilities**
- In your new role, you will drive innovation as the primary computational partner for the Neuroscience & Mental Health Therapeutic Area, collaborating with leaders across Discovery Research, Translational Medicine, and Clinical Pharmacology to deliver impactful solutions.
- In addition, you will represent Neuroscience & Mental Health within the global Computational Innovation leadership team, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals and scientific priorities.
- You will lead and mentor a diverse team of computational biologists (ranging from early-career scientists to associate directors and domain experts) and fostering collaboration, growth, and scientific excellence, with focus on a high-performing culture and continuous development.
- Moreover, you will oversee resource allocation and team development, with a strong emphasis on scaling capabilities and nurturing talent. Drive recruitment, onboarding, training, and career development initiatives.
- Finally, you will cultivate and expand internal and external collaborations, including academic partnerships and contract research organizations, to address portfolio needs and close strategic gaps in data and method.

**Requirements**:

- PhD or equivalent postdoctoral experience in Neuroscience (with strong computational expertise), Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related discipline
- Several years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including start-ups or in a senior academic/research leadership role within a center of excellence
- Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in computational biology, including the integration and analysis of clinical and multi-omics data
- Strong track record of leading and developing high-performing teams, including experience in managing senior scientists and team leaders
- Demonstrated expertise in Neuroscience and Mental Health, with a strong foundation in research or clinical informatics being a significant advantage
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, manage senior scientists, and work across international and interdisciplinary teams
