As **Head of Design (M/F/d)**, you will be responsible for building and leading a team that delivers an exceptional experience for flatexDEGIRO customers. With your insights into user behavior and a deep understanding of the industry, you will actively contribute to the product strategy. This role plays a crucial part in making our platforms user-centric.

**What tasks can you expect with us?**
- You will orchestrate our end-to-end design process, ensure cross-functional collaboration, be responsible for the implementation of design systems and mentor team members
- You will be responsible for building, managing and mentoring a team of product designers, UX researchers and UX copywriters
- You will lead and oversee the user experience design of the platforms from concept to launch in collaboration with the management team, technical leadership and development teams
- You will contribute to strategic business decisions on the future direction of the platform design and user experience goals of flatex and DEGIRO
- You will be responsible for building an evidence-based environment where every design decision can be supported by either qualitative/quantitative research insights or user test results
- You will be responsible for establishing a sustainable way of working between members of the design team and the rest of the product experience team
- You will lead the strategic direction of the group-wide design system and create opportunities to reduce time to market for our platforms
- You will work closely with the commercial teams and ensure that the brand promise is appropriately reflected in the design of the platforms

**What do we want from you?**
- You have at least 5 years of professional experience in a leadership role in UX/UI design, within the banking and/or financial services environment
- Experience in the financial markets industry (securities / trading) and knowledge of financial products in general is essential
- Experience in web and mobile development and design for the presentation of complex information
- You have solid experience with user research methods, usability testing and UX best practices
- Confident in using design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, etc
- Business fluent communication skills in English
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership skills to provide visionary direction and mentor team members Passion for user advocacy and a customer-centric approach to product design to ensure exceptional user experiences, design solutions and product designs
