Your Scope
We are looking for a Purchasing Officer Packaging for our Group Procurement team in Ardooie. Group Procurement is responsible for the central strategic purchasing/sourcing of a large volume of (frozen) raw materials, services, materials and packaging for all Ardo factories and locations. Within Group Procurement, a specialized team in Packaging is responsible for the pre-press preparation and sourcing of packaging including flexible packaging (foils), paper-based packaging and various other materials such as labels, tape, glueWithin this team, the Purchasing Officer Packaging will have a pivotal role in the operational planning, ordering and follow-up of a defined portfolio in Packaging. The Purchasing Officer reports to the Group Sourcing Manager Packaging.
**Main tasks include**:
Brand ownership; supply planning and ordering of a specific range of packaging, especially flexible packaging for our frozen vegetables in several Ardo sites.
Operational follow-up, from forecasting to supply planning and ordering in the ERP systems Ax09 & SAP: planning/placing orders, following up on orders, following up on delivery times, invoice control and aftercare such as complaint follow-up for Ardo sites with the focus on Koolskamp and Kortemark in Belgium.
Maintaining the purchasing data in ERP systems, including supporting the implementation projects of new systems for procurement processes such as SAP within Ardo.
Follow-up of Intercompany transfers between Ardo sites.
International contacts with all Ardo locations and suppliers.
Handle a dedicated scope/portfolio with a number of suppliers across Europe; you are a partner for our suppliers and build/maintain lasting relationships.
Intensive collaboration with Group Supply Chain, local Supply Chain, QA and Sales/Marketing; this is a central/Group role based in Ardooie-BE. A weekly presence of approx. 1-2 days at the sites of Koolskamp and Kortemark is required.
Initiating new references or changes and following up on changes with the Packaging Development team and with Sales/customers.
You are the first line of contact for your portfolio within the Packaging team and are responsible for following up and scheduling packaging tests with the Category Buyers.
Supporting the Category Buyers and the Sourcing Manager Packaging in various operational tasks reporting and projects.
**Profile**:
You have at least a Bachelor's degree in a technical, business or economic field;
Thanks to your relevant experience and knowledge, you can quickly pick up things. You feel completely at home in the world of purchasing.
You have strong analytical skills, affinity with systems with an advanced level in Excel. In addition, you have experience with an ERP package such as SAP.
We are looking for a driven communicator, strong analytical skills, stress resistance, someone with a helicopter view and the ambition to learn and grow in the future within a very dynamic environment in full development.
A good verbal and written knowledge level of English is required. French is preferred.
