Commercial Director, Home & Travel
Condé Nast Germany’s commercial structure is based upon a client category model, with a Director role on the Home & Travel team, with a revenue responsibility for Condé Nast brand AD Architectural Digest.
Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, Condé Nast Germany is looking for a Commercial Director Home & Travel, to deliver on the commercial revenue targets for Home & Travel clients across all Condé Nast brands (AD, GLAMOUR, VOGUE, GQ) and platforms (digital, social, video, experiential, print) by devising the sales strategy and managing the key client relationships. The Commercial Director Home & Travel will also be responsible for the commercial performance of AD Architectural Digest including its Print, Digital, Social, Video and Experience portfolio.
Key duties:
- Leading and managing a team of account sellers, sales managers in their daily business of driving approx 6M € annual revenue through approx 350 client accounts- Responsible for translating the overall advertising sales goals into a category sales strategy and operating plan, i.e. identifying key accounts and targets, assigning targets to the sales team, developing key messages to clients- Develop talent, educate/train teams and drive a culture of collaboration, performance, respect and excellence- Accountable for meeting the advertising sales targets for Home & Travel across all of Condé Nast's brands and products- Collaborate with CNCC (Creative specialists) and Account Strategy (Digital specialists) team to deliver creative solutions for clients- Ensure sales reps are on track to deliver on monthly & quarterly goals- Identify and bring in unique opportunities that drive incremental revenue for our brands- Develop individual commercial platforms - such as events - for AD Architectural Digest in close collaboration with the Head of editorial content.
**Experience**:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience managing sales teams across all platforms, especially Digital & Social.- Proven experience in leadership position- Number literate, preferably previous Budget or P&L experience- Proven track record of delivering on sales targets- Proven experience selling across Home & Travel- Excellent client & agency relationships
- Passionate about Condé Nast’s brands- Proven experience managing and motivating teams in matrix environments- Strong understanding of client requirements in commercially-funded digital and video content- Experience of working in a digital and/or multi-media environment- Fluency in German and English
