Senior Designer, User Experience

The Senior Designer, UX will report into the UX UI & Digitalization team, part of Yanfeng Technology (YFT).

This team focuses on strengthening core competencies, that include User Interface Design (UI) and functional prototyping, as well as building up expertise in the areas of User Experience Design and System Architecture to incubate the digitalization of workflows.

The purpose is to ensure that YFT projects, focused on product & technology development, are based on robust user data and defined with the user in mind to result in an improved user experience.

Continuously generating user data, developing future UX concepts and closely collaborating with a cross-functional team of Designers, Researchers, Engineers and Interfaces to OEMs is a major part of the contribution to the overall success of the company. Understanding the company's business requirements and technical limitations, as well as generating and providing user insights to improve the definition of complex systems is key to success as well.

**Responsibilities**:

- Understand product requirements and user psychology and find creative ways to solve usability and UX problems
- Continuously generate and interpret user data (User Acceptance & Usability of concepts) jointly with the User Research team
- Anticipate user needs, identify user‘s pain points, generate solution hypothesis, iteratively evaluate potential solutions, describe and specify resulting solutions
- Understand potential end consumer as well as internal stakeholders and B2B customers´ needs and requirements
- Create sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and interactive prototypes
- Develop personas and use-cases by the means of user research and data

Main tasks
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops to collect, balance and integrate their goals that influence the user experience.
- Conduct collaboration of cross functional teams such as different Design disciplines, Innovation Engineering, Marketing and OEM customers to shape and follow up on strategy (project objectives), scope (features and functionality) and structure (user journey) to define the UX specification
- Host Brainstorm-Sessions with cross functional teams and process results
- Work closely with System Architects to translate UX specifications into the system definition
- Structure and present results tailored to different audiences
- (Design Team, Engineers, Management, OEM customer)
- Participate in regular team and project meetings
- Business travel to other Yanfeng locations, customers, conferences and shows

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor or Master Degree in User Experience Design or Human Machine Interaction Design with profound experience in UX Design
- 5+ years experience, preferable with automotive industry

Technical Skills
- High proficiency in UX Design tools (such as Figma, Adobe XD, Protopie, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Miro)
