**Head of Technical Office (f/m/d)**

**The Head steers and manages the Technical Office and whose employees for the sites Frankfurt and Knapsack.**
**One of the main responsibilities is to provide the site and project teams with technical standards and regulations**
**also with Bayer standards and local requirements.**

**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Being responsible for the overall management (planning and execution) of the tasks of the technical office (project execution, CAD and
drawings, for single small or midsize projects of investment, divestment and other associated projects)
- Providing knowledge and guidance in your area of expertise, set up and train of site engineering standards and best practices in
accordance with local requirements and BCS or corporate Bayer standards e.g. CAD-Standards, Pipe classes, design standards for equipment
- Steering and giving guidance in your group within STM and takes care for the compliant usage of the Bayer technical rules
(in alignment with the IGR/ISH rules at site)
- Supporting projects in concept definition, site & plant layout design, basic and detailed engineering, cost estimation and
submittal of AR (Appropriation request)
- Supporting larger technical projects in a consultant and in case of specific small or medium sized projects in a project management role
- Ensuring project execution regarding quality, time schedule and associated costs, identifying and assessing deficiencies and bottlenecks
and developing technical concepts for their resolution
- Providing sufficient resources for project planning and execution, supporting the project manager in project interface management and if
applicable supporting the construction manager in field engineering
- Ensuring that project stakeholders are informed about the project status

**WHO YOU ARE**
- University degree in chemical or mechanical engineering (Master or Bachelor) or another appropriate technical discipline or
comparable advanced education
- Several years’ experience in engineering, plant maintenance and/or manufacturing
- Knowledge in technical and project engineering, good practices, and standards
- Strong technical and economical competencies with a proven track record of working in project and/or maintenance roles
- Good communication and project management skills, well organized, time-oriented and flexible
- Passionate about working, motivating teams and bring conflict management
- Good negotiation skills for all type of contracts, claims, change orders, etc.
- Enjoy working in an intercultural environment and possess good lateral leadership skills
- Fluent in German, written and spoken and good English skills
