**What Your Days Will be Like**:
You're going to run the daily business in our accounting team for the German and Switzerland entities including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Assets, Prepaid expenses, Accruals, Revenue recognition, Monthly Reconciliations as well as contributing to local GAAP (HGB) statutory accounts and VAT reporting.

**What You will be working on**:

- Record AP invoices
- Register fix assets and set up depreciation schedules
- Register prepaid expenses and set up amortization schedules
- Prepare payment runs
- Reconcile bank transactions
- Record other payments
- Maintain accruals
- Reconcile our BS accounts on a monthly basis
- Preparing VAT reports - German VAT, Swiss VAT, Norwegian VAT, other European VAT (monthly and quarterly)
- Contributing to annual closing for US-GAAP as well as statutory accounts for local GAAP

**What You'll Need to Succeed**:

- Completed vocational training or academic degree in the field of economic sciences
- 4 years of accounting experience including A/P, A/R, Reconciliation and Month close in a service industry
- Advance experience in German GAAP
- Advanced Excel (Vlook Up, Pivot table and Queries) skills
- Expense accounting and Problem solving
- Fluent German and English (written and spoken)
- Analytical skills

**What's Helpful to Succeed**:

- You have heard of or even worked with Workday before
- Knowledge regarding differences between German GAAP and US-GAAP in accounting
- Knowledge in the area of income tax regarding employee benefits, gifts and corporate events
