ABOUT THE ROLE

As a senior accountant you’ll work on interesting responsibilities like building the monthly reporting package under German GAAP as well as playing a part in creating new processes and optimizing our existing routines in line with our ambitious plan and strategy. You’ll be collaborating closely with the Group Accounting and the FP&A teams and helping to comply with local regulatory and tax requirements.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
- Participate in preparation of cash reports and forecasts and monitoring liquidity for our entities
- Participate in the month-end closing activities including communication with the group accounting and the FP&A teams, as well as with other sennder subsidiaries
- Assist / coordinate external audit and internal information requests as well as help to comply with local regulatory and tax regulations
- Act as a senior member by supporting and sparring with colleagues during the monthly closing processes, help to complete various accounting - related tasks when backup is needed
- Take a leading role in creation of process descriptions and process maps for our team routines and help improve and roll out increasingly automated procedures over time
- Liaise with external stakeholders, such as tax authorities, banks, the Bundesbank, auditors, etc.
- Take a leading role in structuring and improving our financial policies and internal controls to the standards aimed by the group

PREFERABLY YOU HAVE
- Minimum 3 years professional experience as an Accountant / Senior Accountant supported by a relevant education/qualification
- Strong accounting and reporting knowledge, HGB & IFRS knowledge is very welcome
- Very good English and German skills
- Strong communication skills
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail while understanding the bigger picture and goal at the same time
- Analytical skills
- Willingness to take ownership and responsibility of projects and tasks
- Very good command of Excel and experience with an ERP system
- Understanding the importance of internal and external deadlines
