**About this role**:
We are looking for an analytical Lead Financial Accountant - Record to Report (R2R) to take ownership of financial reporting, variance analysis, and process improvement initiatives. In this role, you will ensure accounting and reporting accuracy, uncover financial trends, and deliver insights that enable data-driven strategic decisions.

As a senior member of the R2R team, you will help drive financial efficiency, partner across functions, and support automation and standardization projects. This position is ideal for someone fully qualified or pursuing qualification, with strong technical core accounting skills and a proactive approach to learning and developing data capabilities.

You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local German GAAP (HGB), improving financial workflows, and contributing to global finance transformation efforts

**These are some of the key ingredients to the role**:

- Take ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and HGB.
- Drive the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany accounting.
- Ensure high-quality statutory reporting (Jahresabschlüsse) and support internal and external audits.
- Partner with Payroll, Tax, and Finance teams to deliver accurate payroll accounting and reporting.
- Provide insightful variance analysis on key accounts (e.g., payroll, leases, fixed assets).
- Contribute to ongoing process improvement and automation projects using tools like SQL, Python, and Power BI.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for auditors and senior stakeholders, delivering actionable financial insights.

**What will you bring to the table?**:

- Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or Bilanzbuchhalter IHK), or working towards it.
- 7-9 years of experience in financial reporting, R2R accounting, or financial analysis.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and HGB, with solid ERP and Excel skills.
- Experience in payroll accounting and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Analytical thinker and effective communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, international setting.
