**RWE Renewables Europe & Australia GmbH, Essen, Hamburg, Hannover** **To start as soon as possible, Full time, Permanent** **Functional area**: Health, Safety & Environment As HSE Advisor Germany, you will be responsible for the proactive, operationally focussed and customer-oriented delivery of HSE advise and HSE support for Development, Construction, Operations and Management Support Functions in Wind Onshore and Photovoltaic Germany, with a focus on operational construction sites and on operation & maintenance, together with the responsible Project/Asset Managers. **Your tasks**: - Identify job specific risks together with Line Management, conduct risk assessments and prepare method statements - kept complete and up to date - Prepare hazardous substances register including substitution check, risk assessment and method statement, kept complete and up to date - Advise on and support of implementation of HSE inductions, HSE trainings and regular HSE campaigns for HSE culture development together with the responsible Project / Asset Managers - Perform HSE incident reporting (for statistics and performance measurement) and - HSE incident investigation (Root Cause Analysis) including the development of Lessons Learned which then shall be communicated and followed up (recommendations and actions) - Supporting the HSE Manager Germany with internal processing of Safety Alerts / product warnings / product recalls - Conduct HSE site visits, safety walks and HSE inspections on a regular basis - including appropriate documentation and target group specific communication of necessary actions to solve detected deficiencies - Support HSE contractor management on construction sites and in operation & maintenance comprising HSE document review, proper onboarding / kick off, collaboration in projects, evaluation of HSE performance, escalation / follow up in case of HSE deficiencies - Ensure HSE compliance with legal requirements and internal regulations - Collaborate with external HSE Advisors (“Sicherheits - und Gesundheitsschutzkoordinatoren”) who support and advise our construction sites and Construction Project Managers **The qualification/skills**: - German Safety qualification "Sicherheitsingenieur" according to - 7 ASiG - Preferably “Sicherheits - und Gesundheitsschutzkoordinator” according to - 3 BaustellV and RAB 30 and knowledge about ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 and ISO 19011 would be an advantage as well as Environmental qualifications or experience - Relevant operational HSE experience, preferably in wind energy onshore or offshore - Medical fitness to work at height (essential) and GWO Basic Safety Training Onshore - Self-reliant, well structured, customer & team oriented style of working - Strong communication skills - target audience specific - to explain and to convince Colleagues in various hierarchy levels and in various functions / expert areas - and to address HSE deficiencies and recommendations / actions in a clear but also diplomatic way - Flexibility to travel on a weekly basis to our construction sites and offices and warehouses to get and to stay well engaged with our internal Customers - predominantly in Germany, but on demand also in the Netherlands and in Poland - Business fluent in German and English - this is a must have - Dutch and Polish would be an advantage As one of the world’s leading companies in the renewable energy space in Europe and Australia, RWE Renewables Europe & Australia is proud to be paving the way for a greener future.
