For our Unit **P&C International** we are looking for a dedicated **Senior Treaty Underwriter (d/f/m) Engineering & Construction** to strengthen our team in **Cologne (other locations also possible)** as early as possible.

Your Role

This role is within the International Property and Casualty Reinsurance division with responsibility for structuring, underwriting, pricing, and portfolio management of the Engineering business:

- Underwriting of (non-)proportional Engineering & Construction treaty business in multiple countries under the responsibility of International P&C.
- Developing market benchmarks based on industry data
- Contract wordings
- Further development and maintenance of the existing Engineering & Construction Treaty business throughout international P&C offices.
- Risk analysis of insurance portfolios.
- Support of our Account Executives to develop reinsurance strategies in Engineering & Construction business with existing & new clients and be accountable for the performance.
- Ensure completion of administrative tasks such as reporting, system data entries and maintenance / independent review of corporate financial information: annual statements, interim reporting, budgets.
- Processing of contractual documentation.
- Mentor and support other underwriters.

Your Profile
- Successfully completed studies in engineering, economics or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Engineering insurance industry.
- Experience in Engineering reinsurance is a strong plus.
- Strong knowledge of International Engineering markets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (includes presentations).
- Financial proficiency: Understanding of financial statements and ratios used in risk analysis. Understanding of impact of underwriting decisions on company assets.
- Strong technological and math / analytical skills.
- Bottom-line / underwriting profit-oriented approach.
- Business fluent in English and German
