Be part of our team Research Assistant (M/F/d) - AI Aided Autonomous Flying Your tasks - Design and responsible implementation of the research project "Collaborative Networking 2D/3D" and Defining scenarios for holistic collaborative networking of autonomous vehicles, a swarm of drones, and production - Building an end-to-end simulation framework with the goal of developing and testing AI-based algorithms for UAVs, setting up a test pad and implementing the algorithms on an embedded systems for UAVs - Support in the acquisition and implementation of third-party funded projects and writing of scientific publications and participation in national and international conferences - A doctoral project is welcomed and supported. **Profile**: - Master's degree or diploma in electrical engineering/aerospace engineering/ mechanical engineering/informatic or comparable field of study - Good understanding of complex scientific-technological interrelationships - Proved background, depending on the specific research area above, preferably in the research field of machine learning, robust distributed navigation systems, path planning, sensor fusion techniques and multi node systems - First experiences with the framework TensorFlow as well as the programming language Python, ideally tool knowledge in Gazebo/ROS - Very good knowledge of German or English (C1), both written and spoken, and strong communication and teamwork skills What we offer - Working 40.10 hours per week, you will have the opportunity to turn your visions into reality in a state-of-the-art workplace. - A secure employment relationship and payment according to TV-L EG 13 offer you the necessary planning security. - Over a period of 48 months, your experienced doctoral supervisor will support you in all questions and concerns related to your doctorate. - Great freedom in organizing your working day, through flexitime, teleworking, health promotion at the workplace as well as employee offers in the cafeteria and free employee parking make your everyday life easier.
