The Senior Legal Counsel Antitrust is a member of the Antitrust Center of Expertise (CoE) that has a key role in enabling the ABB Group to act globally in compliance with antitrust law. As part of this role, the Senior Legal Counsel Antitrust will work with the Head of the Antitrust CoE as well as the Business Areas legal counsel and business leadership. The preferred location of the role is Europe.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Play a significant role in implementing the ABB Group’s antitrust compliance program and support the Head of the Antitrust CoE by providing input for briefings to the Group CEO/CFO and the Board
- Assist the Head of the Antitrust CoE with, and actively contributing to the Global Antitrust Program for inclusion in the Global Integrity & Regulatory Affairs Strategy
- Provide fit-for-purpose antitrust advice, including to Senior Management, on a variety of complex issues to enable the ABB Group to act in compliance with antitrust law
- Instruct and coordinate external antitrust counsel on a variety of matter
- Enable M&A activity of the ABB Business Areas and divisions through leading analysis of anti-trust issues, including obtaining the requisite clearances from antitrust regulators
- Implementing the strategy for the ABB Group to resolve pending investigations by antitrust regulators
- Devise and deliver face-to-face/online training and guidance to ABB Group and Businesses Ar-eas, on general antitrust compliance as well as their internal control and compliance efforts
- Implementing the strategy for resolving follow-on damage claims lodged by ABB’s direct and indirect customers
- Helping to maintain and improve ABB’s relationship with antitrust regulators and other stake-holders such as ABB customers worldwide
- Assist Head of Antitrust in overseeing administrative and financial aspects (e.g., billing); as well as being the first point of call for the ABB Legal & Integrity and business community in case of absence of the Head of Antitrust
**Your background**:
- Law degree and EU (incl. UK) qualified lawyer with superior knowledge and understanding of antitrust law and policy
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as an antitrust lawyer with both in-house and law firm expe-rience
- Proven ability to combine legal analysis with economic and business strategy assessment (a truly business minded approach)
- Knowledge of how Antitrust decisions impact other areas (legal, finance, tax etc.)
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills, combined with ability to work at an executive level
- True team player skills able to work globally
- Strong organizational and priority management skills
- Significant international experience with the ability to advise and draft documents in English
