Postdoctoral Research Position in Development

**Your tasks**
- Independent research and participation in the Ibero’s research projects
- Presentation of research articles at international conferences and preparation for publication in leading academic journals
- Teaching courses (preferably Master courses on empirical trade and applied panel data econometrics using Stata)
- Support with the supervision of students and organizational tasks of the Ibero
**Your profile**
- Successfully completed Ph.D. degree (or close to completion) in Economics or a related discipline (e.g., Political Science, International Relations, Development Studies, Applied Statistics)
- A university degree (graduate or Master’s degree) Economics or a related discipline with the overall grade “good” or better
- Strong interest in development economics, international economics, and/or the economics of Latin America
- Adequate academic qualifications (e.g., related publications) and strong analytical and writing skills
- Knowledge of empirical methods and relevant statistical software (e.g., Stata, R)
- Advanced knowledge of English (C1); other languages will be an asset
- Willingness to cooperate and ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment.
The Institute conducts applied economic research on economic development with a particular focus on Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula. Our main research topics include
- Poverty, inequality, and gender discrimination
- Trade and capital flows
- Allocation, coordination, and effectiveness of development aid
- Migration and conflict
- Environment and climate protection
