**A NOTE FROM YOUR TEAM LEAD**

Research at Clue is diverse, from internal projects diving into Clue data to external collaborations with researchers at academic institutes such as Stanford and Oxford, using the Clue app or Clue data to answer important menstrual and reproductive health questions (read more here).

The Research Data Scientist will work on the Science Team to develop study analysis plans and conduct analyses for Clue’s in-house research projects and research collaborations. They will work cross-functionally in collaboration with other teams such as the Data, Product, and Quality and Regulatory Teams. We are looking for someone with a passion for data and advancing health research for people with cycles.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Work with the Science Team and Quality and Regulatory Teams to develop study designs that address complex research questions including on the impact of product use on health goals (e.g. post-market clinical follow-up studies)
- Support the Product Team in conducting health-related data analyses to build data driven product features
- Write statistical analysis plans, perform sample size estimation, and develop reporting specifications for protocols, study reports, scientific abstracts, peer-reviewed manuscripts, and research proposals (related to data analysis and statistics)
- Analyze and perform statistical analyses on big datasets (including tracked health data, app usage data, survey data)
- Extract, prepare, and transmit datasets for research projects, working in close collaboration with other teams such as the Data and Legal Teams to ensure analysis, sharing, and archiving of data follow data sharing policies and regulatory requirements
- Support research collaborators in working with Clue data, including providing advice on analyzing Clue data and reviewing project methods and manuscripts

**ABOUT YOU**
- MS, PhD preferred, with 3+ years (or equivalent) of experience working as a statistician/statistical programmer in clinical trials, medical and/or behavioural research, and/or digital/mobile health industry
- SQL query skills (including window functions and query optimization)
- Strong working experience with data analysis, visualisation and statistics in Python and/or R and data-related libraries
- Familiar with data management principles and regulatory requirements for medical research
- Familiar with data anonymization techniques
- Experience with survey analysis design and implementation a plus

**_ Main Location:_** Berlin or EU-based remote (Working Clue Core Hours 10AM- 4PM Berlin time)

**_ Contract:_** Part-time or freelance approximately 20 hours per week for 6 months starting at the end of April with the potential to extend hours and/or contract length.
