Senior General Ledger Accountant

**Position**: Senior General Ledger Accountant (M/F/d) **The Accounting and Finance team** is looking for a new team member. We are searching for an ambitious individual to work as an ECS General Ledger Accountant in our office in Munich reporting to the Accounting / Finance Manager in Arrow's Shared Services Center in Harlow, UK. **What You Will Be Doing at Arrow ECS ?** The **General Ledger Accountant (M/F/d)** together with the accounting team of ECS Germany in the UK, is responsible for the General Ledger controlling and reporting and will be involved in compliance, tax, statutory, and multiple general accounting and reporting activities, along with a wide range of other financial reconciliation and control tasks as required within the team. Aside from the core accounting team you will collaborate intensively with stakeholders in the German business finance team as well as the various departments in the Shared Services Centers in the UK and Poland. - Preparation and full involvement in the monthly reporting process in close collaboration with the local Finance Teams - Preparation of HGB annual statutory financials - statutory balance sheet, profit & loss statement, management report and notes - Support and compliance with all audit requests - Ensure compliant German VAT declarations, monthly and annual reconciliations as well as compliant ZM (Zusammenfassende Meldung) - Collaborate with EMEA tax team with regards to statutory financials and tax audits - Manage external reporting - "statistisches Bundesamt" and "Deutsche Bundesbank" - Manage the fixed asset register and all relevant accounting, liaising with the accounts payable team and other business areas - Carry out relevant Sarbanes Oxley controls / ensure SOX compliance. - Support other accountants within the team on a variety of tasks in order to meet the total needs of the finance department **What Are We Looking For ?** - Completed business studies or traineeship plus further education as Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) or CIMA, ACCA, CA - Professional experience in a comparable position with HGB knowledge - Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills - Experience in working with ERP system (MS AX desirable) - Fluent in both English and German - Analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong can-do attitude - Ability to properly prioritize tasks and meet deadlines - Great commitment, curiosity and independent work style **What is in it For You?** - An international and diverse working environment that is fun to work in - Attractive, performance-based compensation (base salary plus bonus) - Flexible working hours and hybrid working with home office option - Contributions to capital formation - Contribution to the company pension scheme - 30 days of vacation per year - Bicycle leasing or subsidy for company fitness (EGYM Wellpass) - A wide range of product discounts for employees - Subsidy for daycare center/kindergarten - Company Medical Officer We offer you a challenging and rewarding job in a collegial team atmosphere with plenty of opportunities for professional and personal development. **Our story** **Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions** **(ECS), a part of Arrow Electronics, brings innovative IT solutions to market to solve complex business challenges.
