Facility Operations Specialist

**Duties**: Duty 1: Plans, organizes, and directs the work requirements of the 693 ISR Group to maintain primary group facilities. Duty 2: Oversees facility management resources and requirements including service contracts, financial programs, space utilization, and information resources. Duty 3: Implements and evaluates programs to account for facility requirements and facility safety risks related to real property in use by the 693 ISR GP and its five subordinate units located at Mainz-Kastel, Darmstadt, and Ramstein AB, Germany. Duty 4: Attends staff meetings, working groups, and coordinates with various personnel to accomplish facility work and logistics efforts. **Requirements**: **Conditions of Employment**: - U.S. Citizenship Required - All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period. - Travel and relocation expenses WILL BE PAID in accordance with the JTR AND AFMAN 36-142. - Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide - Disclosure of Political Appointments - Direct Deposit: All federal employees are required to have direct deposit - Position may require travel away from home station. Travel by military and/or commercial aircraft/vehicle is required when providing assistance to attached organizations, attending conferences, workshops, training sessions, and/or briefings. - The incumbent may be required to work other than normal duty hours that may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. **Qualifications**: - In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.**This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the** **job.** **SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE**:Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. - Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: - Managing a maintenance program for office or apartment building complexes, hospitals, recreation facilities, military, or other special-purpose installations, including planning maintenance activities, and developing preventive maintenance programs. - Conducting surveillance activities over construction and maintenance operations performed by a variety of private contractors, including reviewing project plans and specifications for workability, informing contractors of construction and reporting requirements, and supervising operations for conformance with project plans. - Performing maintenance or construction work, including estimating material and labor costs for a variety of construction or maintenance projects (such as construction or maintenance of brick, frame, structural steel, reinforced concrete, and other type structures ranging from one - or two-story buildings to larger structures), directing actual work operations, and maintaining appropriate contacts with the organization funding the project. In addition, knowledge of a comprehensive range of principles, concepts, and practices concerning complex technical requirements, operating capabilities, and maintenance needs of facilities and equipment. - **Note**:Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs**): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: - Knowledge of and experience in activities that involve managing the operation, maintenance, and repair of buildings, grounds, and expensive support equipment; facility and construction standards, methods, practices, techniques, materials, and equipment to determine compliance with federal, state, and local codes and regulations; and standard contracting regulations, practices, and procedures. - Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, telephones, security systems, fire alarms, fire protection, and physical security systems; and Air Force Civil Engineering policies and practices related to facilities management and alteration; and program planning and budgeting cycles to ensure project and program requirements are based on funds availability. - Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements as outlined in applicable standards, regulations, and/or technical orders. - or computer-based engineering drawings and schematic diagrams to determine defi
