**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**Job Summary**
J.P. Morgan SE offers products and services across J.P. Morgan’s businesses, including its Corporate & Investment Bank, Commercial Bank and Private Bank. J.P. As Head of Governance & Strategy you will play an integral part in the Outsourcing, Operations, and Technology (OOT) strategy for J.P. Morgan SE. This varied and hands-on role is an excellent opportunity to engage in direct interaction with the organization's senior operational executives and work first-hand on defining and driving the operating model. The role will involve working across global operational units and in close partnership with key partners such as Operations, Technology, Compliance, Risk, Audit, Finance, HR and other governance teams in region.
**Responsibilities**:
- Define and drive the strategic framework for the Target Operating Model for J.P. Morgan SE OOT, to enable successful execution of its vision, thereby meeting business objectives
- Partner with the OOT Team to identify and execute on opportunities to improve reporting from stakeholders to provide consistent and transparent messaging that is focused on risk identification and mitigation; this includes identifying opportunities for better “storytelling” including visualization and automation of reporting leveraging digital tooling
- Lead the centralization of all ongoing programs and projects within the scope of the Head of J.P. Morgan SE OOT, bringing and ensuring consistency and consolidated senior management and oversight
- Provide bespoke support to the Head of J.P. Morgan SE OOT to enable the proper discharge of oversight responsibilities across the organization and to meet regulatory requirements
- Manage and lead team of approx. 10 headcount responsible for governance and reporting for J.P. Morgan SE Board level, regulatory/audit oversight, product governance, PMO, and change management
- Support the Head of J.P. Morgan SE OOT in stakeholder engagements including the preparation and oversight high quality operational and risk and control materials for review and discussion in meetings at regional and global executive meetings, at J.P. Morgan SE Board level, and with external stakeholders including regulators and the firm’s auditors
- Support the Head of J.P. Morgan SE OOT in creating, enhancing and maintaining cross-teams relationship and overall collaboration
- Prepare and communicate business strategy, performance and priorities to key stakeholders
- Deliver high quality executive presentations, reporting and analytics to support business decisions
**Skills and Experience**:
**Required**
- Deep understanding of the Financial Services industry, the regulatory environment and impact on business strategy with significant previous work experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably with experience in operational risk, financial regulation and/or governance frameworks: should be able to demonstrate the following:
- Good understanding of the products and markets in which J.P. Morgan SE operates
- Understanding of the fundamentals of good governance
- Ability to read, digest and summarize regulatory requirements
- Strong and effective communication skills:
- Very strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to communicate succinctly, providing opinion and challenge senior stakeholders, as appropriate
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills - German is a plus
- Experience of liaising with and presenting to senior management
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to coach and support teams to deliver similar high-quality output
- High competency levels in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to consistently deliver work of a high standard, and to tight timelines, including:
- actively demonstrating accountability, responsibility, and ownership for own objectives and team deliverables
- ability to prioritize, whilst managing stakeholder expectations
- managing deliverables from stakeholders and own teams for monthly governance cycles
- Prior management experience of successfully leading small teams, including proven record of management of performance of others, managing budget and headcount, and recruitment of team members
