You have

The minimum requirement for this position is a PhD degree in biochemistry, molecular biology or in a closely related scientific area. Expertise in the field of recombinant protein production in the milligram scale using multiple gene expression systems (E. coli, Pichia pastoris, insect cells) is crucial. A strong understanding and background knowledge of chromatographic techniques and extensive hands-on experience with the use of automated chromatography platforms for protein purification is absolutely essential. Experience with various biophysical characterisation methods is required. Teamwork, flexibility, strong organizational skills and the ability to interact with a multicultural community from different scientific backgrounds are expected. Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills is necessary.

You might also have

Prior experience with the production of toxic proteins and virulence factors would be highly beneficial. Expertise in the field of protein production in Bacillus subtilis, other non-classical bacterial expression systems and/or cell-free expression methods would be considered a strong advantage for this position. A good working knowledge of various cloning methods would be very useful. Previous working experience with projects that involve the translation of dry-lab results to wet-lab experiments would be an important asset.
