**Job Overview**:
Sanford Federal is a **French Language Instructor** to provide French language support services at George C. Marshall Center/PLTCE.

Position**:French Language Instruction Services**

**INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES**:

- conduct daily lessons, mínimally six, 50-minute periods per day
- assign homework on a daily basis that is tailored to the needs of each student.
- provide feedback on completed homework assignments, identifying problem areas and conducting immediate remediation. Students who fail to complete assignments or do so carelessly shall be reported to the COR or his designated representative, normally the Military Language Instructor (MLI).
- counsel students on academic progress.
- communicate problems with students to the COR/MLI in a timely manner, i.e. on the day the problem first arises (e.g., student tardiness, disruptive behavior, absence).
- provide tutorials as needed or requested by students before/after the six periods each day.
- provide suitable out-of-class activities for classes.
- prepare all teaching materials prior to beginning of class. At no time should teaching materials be prepared during teaching hour
- research, identify, and recommend suitable commercially available instructional materials that meet the global proficiency development needs of the students.
- work as a team member to develop instructional material, coordinate instructional activities, assignment of student sections with other instructors, and informally assess students (e.g., in-person or remote interviews).

**Qualifications Requirements**:

- shall be fluent in the French languages, as spoken in France, with the ability to read, write, and speak at a level consistent with a person indigenous to the region. Documentation of target languages (TL) proficiency shall consist of evidence that the proposed instructor is a native speaker or that the proposed instructor obtained TL proficiency through formal education (courses completed at an institution of higher learning taught in the TL), or TL-proficiency certification (Interagency Language Roundtable/STANAG 6001 Level 4 or CommonEuropean Framework of Reference Level C2.
- have five years or more of significant, recent, and relevant experience in teaching French to foreign, adult learner.
- have two years or more of personal life and work experience in one or more countries in which French is spoken as a first language. Experience must be as a resident living, working, or serving in the military within the system and related environment
