The Department of Physics at the University of Münster is seeking to fill a permanent position for the Centre for Soft Nanoscience (SoN) and the Münster Nanofabrication Facility (MNF) as a
Research Associate (Wissenschaftliche*r Mitarbeiter*in, salary level E 13 TV-L, 100%)
at 100% of the regular working hours per week (39h 50min). This permanent position is set to commence at the earliest possible date. Full-time employees are required to teach 8 hours per week during the semester.
**Your tasks**:

- Supervision and operation of large-scale equipment at the Münster Nanofabrication Facility, in particular for electron beam lithography and reactive ion etching.
- Development of reproducible nanofabrication and nanoanalytical methods for scientific projects at the Münster Nanofabrication Facility.
- Carrying out chemical and physical processes in laboratory and clean room environments. - organisation of events
- Collaboration in the Münster Nanofabrication Facility and the Centre for Soft Nanoscience
- Participation in the self-administration of the research facilities

**Our expectations**:

- A university degree in physics, electrical engineering or a closely related discipline is required. - Ideally, you have completed a doctorate in physics, electrical engineering or a closely related discipline.
- At least three years' experience of working in clean room environments, electron beam lithography and reactive ion etching processes is essential.
- Extensive knowledge of nanoanalytical methods, such as atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), reflectometry or ellipsometry, is required.
- A good command of written and spoken English is required.
- Sound programming skills, preferably in Python, are desirable.
- German language skills are not a prerequisite, but a willingness to learn german is desirable.
- You should be team-oriented and responsible, have good communication skills, organisational talent and the ability to work independently.
