**What we do**: **We build software that helps companies along the food system get to Net Zero.**: ~31% of global GHG emissions originate from food-related activities. For the first time in history, climate performance has become an overall business performance indicator. Enterprises are mandated by regulatory bodies to disclose their climate performance, which leads to increasing pressure from investors, competitors, retailers, and consumers to _prevent and reduce_ their CO2e emissions. Over the next 10 years, companies have set ambitious reduction targets that need to be met. Enterprise software and new business processes can help. We raised >€10m in funding in the first 2 years of our existence, we launched our enterprise product, signed and onboarded some of the largest F&B players in Europe, and put together what we believe is the best-suited early-stage tech team in Europe. Will you be the next to join us? **What you will work on**: **Your mission**: Lead Root’s expansion into the UK & Irish market by designing the GTM strategy and securing key players as first person on the ground. **Over the next months you will**: - Lead the development of a market-specific sales strategy to conquer the UK & Irish market and become the widely accepted industry solution within the next 12 months. - Close deals with the top key processors by closely working with them, gaining insights into their organizations, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels (incl. farmers, executives, and government employees) and participating in key industry events and fairs. - Align proactively with the co-founder (Maurice Hensl) and other European Country Leads on progress in UK & Ireland, sharing market insights, individual market characteristics, and best practices. - Establish the business in UK & Ireland as the first person on the ground. - Mentor new team members and foster a culture of continuous learning within the company. **What you bring along**: - Leverage 2+ years of experience in fast-paced environments, combined with a charismatic, street-smart nature demonstrated in previous roles, e.g. consulting or sales (prioritizing the match with the role over past experience). - Lead complex enterprise accounts through the sales process, providing clarity and strategic direction to decision-makers. - Demonstrate a hands-on mentality, thriving in imperfect and fast-changing environments. - Demonstrate fluency in English, with a deep understanding of UK & Irish culture and local business dynamics. - Be based in Berlin (first 3-6 months, with flexible options thereafter). **How we support you**: - You will report directly to our co-founder Maurice Hensel, receiving regular guidance and mentoring. - Some of our angel investors will actively mentor you and provide guidance. - It is important to us to give you the best conditions for learning and career growth.
