Business Process and Specifications Expert

**Purpose of the position**

This is a key role within the Research and Development department aimed at developing and implementing state of the art standard work processes (SWPs) as part of our simplification agenda. The motivation of this standardisation is to harmonise ways of working across the whole group. Whilst acknowledging differences between product categories and local needs the challenge is to keep the SWPs as lean and efficient as possible. This enables Intersnack to secure and further strengthen it’s leading position in the global savoury snacks market.

The Business Process and Specifications Expert will develop and implement the standard work process in collaboration with other expert groups in order to create specifications that unambiguous describe the quality we need to buy our raw materials against and describe the quality of products required to meet consumer demands.

The holder of this position is a strategic thinker with a hands-on mentality and will provide support to category and local teams where necessary.

**Responsibilities**
- Tapping into expertise of specialists from a variety of functions to develop and implement standard work processes (SWPs) to create quality specifications regards to our raw materials and product requirements
- Manage and development approval workflows and train Product Development and Procurement teams to deploy these new ways of working
- Collaborate with and learn from suppliers to lift the full potential of their innovation power for the group
- Keep proliferation of specifications under control and assure that experts are compliant with this simplification model
- Develop and leverage best in class ways of working to enhance the capabilities of the Specifications team

**Education
Master’s degree in Food Science / Technology, Chemical Engineering - or equivalent work experience

**Experience**

Approx. 3 to 5 years work experience in the FMCG sector as well as R&D Process experience, particularly in Raw Material Specification creation and approval using workflow based database systems

**Skills required for the job**
- Familiarity with the concepts, tools, and techniques used in project management
- Understanding of Branded and Retailer environments
- Ability to operate at a senior level within the Food Industry
- Experience of coaching and developing individuals / team
- Numerical and financial aptitude
- Analytical mindset and result orientation
- Fluent spoken and written English is a must any further language spoken within Intersnack is considered a plus
