**Your mission**:
GotPhoto is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Accountant to join our Accounting Team to **support the financial integrity and efficiency of the organization **by accurately maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing timely and precise reporting.

**This is a hybrid position**: We would appreciate if you are located in or around Berlin and be able to commute to our office 1-2 times/week.

We have legal entities in Germany (Fotografen Online Service GmbH) and in the US (GotPhoto Inc).

**Responsibilities**:

- ** Accounting and Cash Management**: You support our departments with GotPhoto Accounting functions, including invoicing and payment. You monitor system transactions and support technical integration.
- ** Month/Year End Closings**:You manage our Month End and Year End Closings by gaining expertise in Group Accounting and reconciliations.
- ** Day-to-Day Tasks**:You manage incoming invoices, expense tools, organize pre-accounting, reconciliations, and support resolving issues with interfaces and ports.
- ** Collaboration and Support**: You engage in cross-functional projects involving tech, payment, and accounting teams. Mentor new hires on pre-accounting processes.

**We are looking for**:

- ** Experience & Skills**: You have professional knowledge of HGB and US GAAP and are very proficient in booking in common Accounting systems (e.g. DATEV)
- ** Tax Knowledge**:You have an understanding VAT schemes.
- ** Problem-Solving & Communication**: You have strong problem-solving skills, proactive issue resolution, and effective communication with cross-functional teams.
- ** Core Competencies**:You have attention to detail, strategic thinking, collaboration, and awareness of compliance and regulatory standards.
- ** Languages**:Your language skills are sufficient to communicate effectively in German and English in a business environment.
