Job ID: 28108- Location: Regensburg, DE, 93055The Head of Data Protection (M/F/d) is the leader of the global data protection team at Vitesco Technologies. As such the Head of Data Protection (M/F/d) is in the lead of Vitesco Technologies’ data protection organization and responsible for the management of all data protection related projects and operations, including ensuring compliance with the Binding Corporate Rules (BCR). Based on profound data protection knowledge (EU GDPR and other relevant data protection legislation), the core activities comprise of defining binding policies and giving guidance concerning data protection. Moreover, the Head of Data Protection (M/F/d) is responsible for the setup and maintenance of the Data Protection Management System (DPMS).
**Your new responsibilities**:
- Leadership of the global data protection team at Vitesco Technologies.
- Responsibility for the Data Protection Management System (DPMS) including quality assurance within the DPMS.
- Development of data protection strategy in accordance with legal requirements and aligned with Vitesco Technology’s general compliance management strategy.
- Responsibility for implementation of data protection policies including implementing binding policies, setting up guidelines and internal rules concerning the data protection governance and ensuring compliance within Vitesco Technologies.
- Responsibility for the development and execution of data protection trainings of stakeholders across different business areas.
- Data protection advisory and support for projects and business process owners on data protection related topics and queries including advisory to the data protection coordinators (DPC) and the data protection advisors (DPA).
- Cooperation and collaboration with various internal stakeholders processing personal data such as Marketing, HR, or Legal. In addition, this role represents the interface to IT security, auditing, legal, internal audit, etc.
**Your qualification**:
- University degree in law with above-average results
- Several years of professional experience in the field of data protection in an international environment (law firm, Big Four, company)
- Profound knowledge of data protection law and data protection management
- First leadership experience, e. g. team or project management preferred
- Experience and interest in project management
- Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
- Ability to communicate in an addressee-oriented manner and good conflict management skills
- Hands-on mentality and creativity in knowledge transfer as well as independent and solution-oriented work style
- High level of commitment as well as strong sense of responsibility
- Willingness to travel on business
