- 8-10 years of power and renewables sector accounting, finance, and strategy experience.
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or equivalent from an accredited university.
- Must be familiar with renewable energy financing structures. He/ She should be able to manage personnel performing audits and similar reporting requirements. Experience working with renewable energy companies preferred, but not required.
- IFRS knowledge and demonstrated financial/business analysis/cost control skills.
- Having the capability to lead contract management for the affiliate
- Exposure to German/Europe power generation sector (preferred).
- Fluency in English with strong written and oral communication skills. German is a plus.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
- Capable of understanding and communicating complex financial issues in a timely, concise, and objective manner.
- Excellent ability to analyze and recommend solutions to a variety of difficult situations and problems.

**Activités**
**TotalEnergies has been awarded by the Bundesnetzagentur** (German Federal Network Agency) two marine concessions and is now seeking **his/her Head of Commercial** to locally reinforce its strong Offshore Wind team.
In this context, we are recruiting our Head of Commercial who will have a key role in enabling the development and operation of offshore wind projects in Germany. He/she will be responsible for developing and implementing the commercial and financial strategy of offshore wind projects.
The position reports on a day-to-day basis to the Asset Director, and liaises with other members of the project team as required, such as Head of Development, Project Control Manager (procurement), Architect (engineering) etc. He/She will also manage services provided by TotalEnergies Deutschland and third parties.
During the project development phase, the main tasks of the job holder include:
- Developing and implementing a commercial and financial strategy for the projects,
- Ensuring that all contracts are effectively negotiated and commercially managed,
- Supporting the Capex and Opex estimation for the project, liaise with the development, procurement, and engineering team
- Setting up accounting, IT and HR and legal management systems in line with TotalEnergies’ requirements
During the construction and operation phase:
- Monitoring risk management activities, including administration of insurance policies, in consultation with the Asset Director, and prepare annual progress reports to the Board.
- Providing analysis and reporting of the affiliate’s performance, compliance, tax, insurance, budget, internal control and risk management.
- Reviewing and analyzing all contracts and ensures appropriate accounting work is completed. Managing and coordinating the appropriate purchase orders in the system. Being in close contact with Package Managers (procurement) and Operation Manager to understand progress in the project activities and supports invoice and contract disputes where applicable. Ensuring all project costs are reconciled and recorded for month-end activities. Interpreting events and activities from a financial perspective (daily, monthly, quarterly, and annually).
- Monitoring project costs and comparing against the plan. Providing frequent feedback to operations. Providing regular updates to the Asset Director and shareholders including preparation of management presentations. Coordinating and reporting major deviations and highlight potential areas for improvement.
- Leading all financial planning activities with respect to monthly, quarterly and yearly forecasts.
- Maintaining financial and accounting controls and overseeing adherence to project company policies.
- Administering hiring and purchase decisions made by the Asset Director.
- In preparation for each meeting of the SPV’s Board of Directors (BOD), he/she will prepare, at a minimum, the following information:
- Quarterly project cost and sources of finance analysis of expenditures and cash flows comparing actuals with budget / base case financial model parameters.
- A forecast of expenditures.
- In case of any requirement of any expenditure not included in the base case financial model - a detailed note shall be prepared for the Board for approval of such expenditure.
- He/She may be asked to attend the BOD meetings to support the Asset Director in providing any clarifications necessary to the financial reports and to respond to questions from the directors.
- Providing contract advice and support to Project Control Manager during the execution phases.
