Post Doc: This Position is limited for 2 years.
**Tasks & responsibilities**:
- In your new role, you will be responsible for independently setting up and executing rodent behavioral experiments combined with pharmacology and in vivo assessment of neural circuit function.
- With your work, you will support the understanding of novel therapeutic concepts for psychiatric disorders.
- You will present at internal and external meetings and publish in peer-reviewed journals. Moreover, you will act within a stimulating environment as part of an interdisciplinary team of cellular and molecular biologists, electrophysiologists and pharmacologists.
**Requirements**:
- Doctoral degree in Neuroscience, Biology or related fields with extensive knowledge of behavioral neuroscience methods, in vivo pharmacology and psychiatric disorders
- Practical and theoretical knowledge of neuroanatomy and circuit-based methods (real-time assessment of neuronal activity, optogenetics, chemogenetics or fiber photometry)
- Practical knowledge of stereotactic surgery
- Proven track record of publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals
- Statistical programming competency in R, Matlab or Python is preferred
- FELASA-C certification or international equivalent is required
- Ability to work in a drug discovery-oriented environment with highly multidisciplinary skills Fluent written and spoken English
