**The Position**:

**Tasks & responsibilities**:

- In your new role, you will be accountable for the strategy implementation and direction in the Clin Pharm TA Oncology (consisting of Clin Pharm Leads and PMx Leads) including its organizational and scientific development; contributing at the next higher organizational level the Translational Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology (TMCP) TA Strategy Team Oncology and the global Clin Pharm Leadership Team.
- Moreover, you will design, drive and implement innovative concepts in the Clin Pharm TA Oncology organization, in line with our strategy and the next higher organizational level
- A focus of the role is on the scientific excellence on delivering well aligned state-of-the-art Clin Pharm and PMx strategies to project teams for all respective inflection points during drug development (from SOD until NDA submission).
- You will lead experienced scientists and contribute to the development of future leaders for our organization.
- Furthermore, you will enable transparent and effective communication, foster exchange of knowledge and experience within the area of Clin Pharm TA Oncology, across our organization, and with neighboring areas.
- You will represent the area of Clin Pharm TA Oncology as well as our organization at internal and external meetings and committees and panels.
- In addition, you will ensure that deliverables of Clin Pharm TA Oncology are executed in accordance with SOPs, policies, procedures, and applicable regulations such as GCP and laws.

**Requirements**:

- PhD/MD preferably a field related to the area of responsibility with long-standing experience in clinical development, translational medicine and Clin Pharm or PMx
- In depths experience in the area of responsibility as well as personnel management skills incl. strong background in planning, organization, execution and implementation of (non-portfolio) projects on a global level
- Strong background in life science and/or medicine, i.e., Translational Medicine, Clin Pharm, PMx, Biomarkers and/or pharmaceutical sciences
- Strong background in Clin Pharm and PMx strategy setting in project teams (from SOD until NDA submission), together with a thorough background on Clin Pharm and PMx input into End of Phase II meetings and NDA submission documents
- Expert knowledge in preclinical and all phases of clinical drug development in the pharmaceutical industry; familiar with applicable laws, regulatory guidelines and requirements, e. g. GCP and ICH guidelines
- Demonstrated successful personnel and matrix leadership skills in a complex setting and evidence of inspirational and productive leadership of individuals and teams as well as teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation capabilities
