As O&M Health & Safety Specialist you will be an part of the Health & Safety Offshore O&M department and working at site, coordinating the work with the site management.

The H&S department for Offshore Projects and O&M consist of about 25 people. We are responsible to ensure that the H&S mission and vision of the organization (including the high level policy) gets properly implemented and lived-up to. We have a certified Health and Safety Management System, for which each member requires to support its implementation throughout the appointed sites.

Our long-term vision is to drive the sites and projects to a proficient maturity, where H&S is part of the DNA, and accidents are avoided at all times. Within the team we have a high focus on team development, where over the coming year significant attention will be provided to our team purpose of becoming a “high performing, reliant and resilient H&S team”.

What will you do?

As our new O&M Health &Safety Specialist you will be responsible for providing independent, expert and professional support, advice and guidelines to site management on all health, safety and environmental awareness and culture at the site/s.

Your main responsibilities will be:

- Implement the standardization of the Vattenfall Health & Safety management system within the offshore O&M sites
- Drive a culture care of using and maintaining relevant processes, procedures and instructions in HoW
- Report upon Health and Safety Performance, including incident management, and maturity within the O&M site
- Manage all incidents and accidents allocated to the site within the company system (Intelex)
- Manage the site H&S Activity Plan ensuring all H&S activities are undertaken within the O&M site across the year
- Support the site with legal and company compliance and promoting awareness of these requirements
- Perform frequent offshore visits, site inspections and evaluations (option to work in a 2w/2w rotation)

Location

Work location is offshore on site at our windfarms DanTysk and Sandbank.

For succeeding in the role

You develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

Furthermore you have:

- Degree in Health & Safety (e.g. NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in an international organisation, preferable within the wind industry
- Knowledge about safety management in compliance with ISO45001
- Full and detailed understanding of applicable H&S related legislation
- Experience in managing contractors as client and/or principal contractor
- Experience in auditing and incident investigation
- Solid use knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent Business English language skills
