Klang is looking for a **Game Design Director (f/m/d)** who is responsible for a creative and technical oversight for the work done by the Design team, leading and driving the holistic view of the entire design. As a Game Design Director, you will provide expert support, guidance, and direction to Designers and work in close collaboration with other disciplines to ensure development of SEED. **What you will do**:
- As one of SEED’s visionary ambassadors you will define the design direction and drive meaningful discussions around the game vision and evangelize it within the team, defining risks and exploring opportunities
- Communicate with designers, developers and producers to create, maintain and communicate a strong vision across the company
- Support the team through implementation to ensure that the SEED’s vision is reflected in all stages of design and implementation of game mechanics, systems, controls, narrative, and the player experience.
- Set standards for the highest quality execution of SEED’s gameplay mechanics and game systems.
- Review KPIs and the evolution and implementation of our user research data to ensure an iterative design process based on our player communities.
- Enable the design team to consistently perform at their best and realize their potential by providing clear, precise direction with sufficient flexibility for individual creativity.
**Requirements**:
**Who we think will be a great fit**:
- You have 3-5 years experience as a Lead Game Designer on at least one relevant project.
- You are able to take the high strategic view as well as dive deep and execute great game design by yourself.
- You have broad knowledge and high expertise in creating/designing systems that create emergent gameplay.
- You have had impact as a game designer early in the design process, working with stakeholders to define the overarching experience of the game.
- You are familiar with the processes and development of MMOs.
- You are experienced working in an agile development environment.
- You are passionate about gaming, preferably multiplayer, management, sandbox and simulation games.
- You have strong leadership and communication skills.
