At the Berlin site, more than 1,400 employees develop and manufacture key components for ASML lithography systems.
The Corporate Real Estate (CRE) Organization is responsible for the life cycle of the ASML infrastructure, installation and buildings. It plays a very decisive role in the development of the Berlin site. However, even with all this growth, the protection of human health and the environment is still paramount. The future CRE EHS team consists of members with individual expertise in specific sustainability, environmental, health and safety competencies. Joint as a team and in close collaboration we are able to support the business in all aspects of safety.

In this exciting role, you will work directly with the head office in the Netherlands and the global CRE EHS organization. While doing so you will bring the regional perspective to the fore. Naturally, you will work closely with other EHS colleagues in areas such as production. You will report to the CRE EHS manager Berlin.

Safety Management
- Supervision EHS within CRE organization to maintain and improve the safe working environment
- Insuring compliancy to environmental and (contractor) safety regulations
- Managing Permit-to-Work activities (Lototo, safety, procedures etc.) for contractors and external staff including responsibility for work processes and procedures
- Auditing adherence to existing EHS regulations for the fulfilment officially approved work orders
- Improving safety on the working place by means of safety inspections, coaching and supervision
- Recognizing, tracking and reporting unsafe situations (incident reportings)
- Developing and performing safety trainings to CRE colleagues, contractors and external staff
- Participation in safety studies
- Monitoring a continuously safety improvement process

Emergency Response
- Taking the lead in the execution of the Emergency Response (ERT) tasks and responsibilities
- Developing and implementing comprehensive revised ERT processes
- Analyzing and reporting of ERT activities during emergency situations
- ASML representative in case of communication to external emergency services
- Escalating and reporting emergencies to ASML management and global strategic head ERT
- Evaluating actions taken after an emergency
- Member and local leader of the First Response team
**Profile**:
- Completed safety related studies with a minimum of two years relevant work experience, or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience
- Safety related experience in the construction, conversion, and renovation of industrial facilities
- Holistic knowledge in sustainability, environmental protection, safety, health protection, and energy
- Teamplayer with excellent communication skills
- High degree of initiative, independence, business orientation, and decision-making ability
- Analytical mindset, structured work methods and creativity to develop complex systems
- Solution oriented approach with strong multi-disciplinary problem solving, project management and organizational skills
- A robust personality successfully organizing, leading and managing external parties and various stakeholders
- High quality awareness and sense of responsibility
- Highly committed and flexible (sometimes working outside office hours; managing changing requirements and boundary conditions)
- Excellent written and spoken German and English
