Purpose of this role

Our Actuarial Department in Germany is responsible for HGB and IFRS Accounting & Reporting, Solvency II & EBS Reporting, Capital Management and HGB planning as well as the support of BaFin communication. The function works closely with the Chief Actuary, [our Group Actuarial Function and colleagues from Risk management] to ensure Athora meet internal and regulatory requirements. Furthermore, the person supports the optimization of processes as well as the implementation of new technical platforms and structures and takes responsibility in project management activities.

Key Contribution Areas- Development, implementation and validation of actuarial valuation models (liability, assets, management rules)- implementation of economic balance sheet positions in projection models for Solvency II and IFRS17 reporting- Reporting of model results to the management- Support of management’s decision on modelling options- Support of evaluation of different management strategies- Project management and organisation- Support of Solvency II / IFRS audits- Actuarial support of M&A transactions

Functional or Technical Knowledge and Skill Required- Solid Knowledge of Modeling system- Experienced in system integration- Knowledge in German GAAP, SII, ideally also in IFRS 17- More than 5-7 years’ experience with investment management. Ideally in a German Life Insurance company- Strong project management skills- Willingness to travel- Business fluent Englisch
