**Duties**
- As a SIGINT Desk Officer performs a wide variety of duties encompassing the critical functional areas including SIGINT analysis, priority coordination, traffic analysis, threat warning and intelligence reporting.
- Compiles, evaluates, and maintains data, information, and databases to support Staff and Directorate analytics.
- Applies a wide range of intelligence principles, concepts, techniques and methodologies to represent the DO, Chief of Staff (CoS), and work-center interests in command.
- Provides basic interpretation of procedures and guidelines and makes recommendations for higher level review
- Assesses and communicates factual interpretation of how current requirements, policies, or regulations aid or inhibit availability of support to meet objectives.
- Maintains close coordination to protect the sensitive nature of such support activities.
**Requirements**
**Conditions of Employment**
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- This position requires the employee to sign a mobility agreement under the provisions of the agency mobility program.
- May be required to work irregular shifts/hours.
- This position is considered Non-Combat Essential (NCE) in support of the Army's mobilization and wartime mission during periods of increased tension and mobilization and could be assigned to any location worldwide. 5 CFR 752.
- Employees assigned to NCE positions must sign DD Form 2365, stating as a condition of employment, they understand the conditions described above and the requirement to maintain certain levels of medical, security

- To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience with conducting Signal Intelligence (SIGNIT) analysis to support mission operations and/or plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-09).
- Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.**TERM**: This announcement is for a term position. Permanent employees who apply, are selected for, and ultimately accept this position will be converted to a term appointment. Term positions in DCIPS may be extended up to a maximum of five years. This position may be converted to permanent without further competition after completion of two years of continuous service in this position.
