We are currently seeking a Field Applications Scientist - Europe (f/m/d) who will be responsible for providing guidance and support to sales team by participating in the pre-sale customer qualification process including instrument and software demonstration. This is a remote role

**In this role, you will be responsible for**:
Contribute to financial growth objectives through pre
- and post-sales activities.
Support conference events by scientific presentations
Support Sample Testing Program to build sales funnel and customer confidence together with Sales specialists.
Promote and coordinate user groups meetings.
Build, foster and maintain KOL relationships.
Collaborate with customers for joint publications.
Build great relationships with field sales team and field service engineers so as to unify the overall customer experience.
Manage workload effectively including daily management of required administrative duties.
Adhere to required standard work associated with job.
Travel to support business and customer needs.

**The required qualifications for the job include**:
MS or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, or related field with 2-3+ years of recent laboratory experience.
Strong passion to advance science, especially in rapidly growing fields like gene therapy.
Comfortable interacting with customers and KOL’s to develop Application Proof Points (Articles, Videos)
Ability to write scientific reports (for customer experiments and instrument qualifications)
Prioritizes work load to manage competing demands.
Follows all company safety policies & other safety precautions within work area.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
Travel required (up to 30%).

**Languages**: English as business language fluent, any other European language is an advantage

**It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in**:
Experience using centrifugation techniques for biologic characterization is required.
Familiarity with biotherapeutic (and other) production and purification workflows in GMP environments, such as viruses/virus-like particles, antibodies and other proteins, exosomes and lipid vesicles, nanoparticles, and polymers is preferred.
Additional experience with alternative characterization techniques like Mass Spec, HPLC chromatography, DLS, and EM is preferred.
