LOCATION- Hamburg, Germany- STARTING DATE- Next possible starting date- CONTRACT TYPE- Internship- DEPARTMENT- CM&H Expertise Delivery- WORKING HOURS- Full-time- REFERENCE CODE- 1219- What you can expect- What you can expect- What you can expect - textThe 6 months long internship will focus on evaluating and testing PFLOTRAN-OGS, a reservoir simulator specifically designed for CO2 storage. The main aim will be to understand the simulator’s compatibility with other industry standard numerical simulators as well as testing and identifying key differences. The study will include conversion of the simulation models of depleted gas and oil reservoirs from ECLIPSE/tNavigator format to PFLOTRAN, comparison of the results and simulator performance (speed, convergence etc.). - What we expect- What we expect- What we expect- Bachelor and/or Master studies in Petroleum Engineering (ideally with focus on Reservoir Engineering) - Good understanding of reservoir simulators and experience with Eclipse 100 (Additional experience with Eclipse 300/tNavigator/CMG GEM is a plus) - Clear understanding of different Equation of states and their impact on reservoir simulations - Pre - and Post-processing skills with Petrel or equivalent software - Fluent written and spoken english skills - Good understanding of health, safety, environment and quality - We offer- We offer- We offer (external)You are part of the Wintershall Dea team from day one.
