Data Scientist

**About the opportunity**:
Contentful is growing faster than ever, and we are looking for a motivated Data Scientist who will join our team and play a key role in a data team in charge of our core data and insights.

As a Data Scientist you will be working with developers and internal stakeholders on developing new and improving existing reporting and analytics.

**What to expect?**:

- You will work in a cross-functional, general-purpose data science team that incubates projects and delivers them to stakeholders from all business domains in the company.
- You will support the team by delivering analyses and bringing data products to production, employing a wide range of data science and machine learning methods, and working with diverse data sources.
- You will drive projects through their whole life-cycle: from use-case generation, to developing a proof-of-concept, to production phase and handover
- You will have the opportunity to impact the company's strategy by driving initiatives that enable efficient scaling and automation, and provide insights across our organisation.
- You will collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to evaluate data sources, techniques and tools to support our data organisation with multiple data analytics teams.

**What you need to be successful?**:

- Solid programming skills in Python and all of its data science ecosystem (pandas, scikit-learn, etc.)
- Solid experience and expertise of SQL
- Experience with a wide variety of machine learning models and techniques applied to a broad range of problems (e.g. regression, classification, forecasting, recommendation systems, NLP)
- An analytical mindset and the ability analyse data and derive actionable insights from data
- Experience with Git
- Experience in communicating to a broad range of stakeholders and presenting technical results to them in a clear and effective way
