**Our department**

GlobalFoundries Design Enablement Organization is looking for a student who is interested in working in the area of electro-thermal co-design on developing methodologies and evaluating tools and solutions for electro-thermal co-simulation for advanced technologies such as 22nm FDSOI, 12nm FinFET and 45 Silicon Photonics.

**Your job**

In this context we are looking for a student who will work on and contribute to
- designing test cases for to evaluate electro-thermal co-simulation methodologies
- investigate stability and convergence of electro-thermal co-simulation
- assess accuracy of electro-thermal co-simulation

You will have the chance to become familiar and working with many EDA vendor tools, e.g.:

- Electro
- and thermal simulation Tools, e.g. Legato (Cadence), HeatWave (Keysight), IcePak (Ansys)
- Analog Design Environment (including Virtuoso, Spectre, Voltus-Fi) by Cadence

In addition, you will have the opportunity to use a wide variety of programming and scripting languages such as Perl, TCL, Python and Make

**Qualifications**
- You´re currently studying Elektrotechnik/Electronics, Naturwissenschaften/ Natural Sciences especially Physics or Informatik/Computer Science
- Registered Bachelor/Master student
- In-depth computer as well as programming skills
- Interest in the semi-conductor industry
- Team worker
- Self-motivated, reliable
- Good written and spoken English

Skills which are desired, but not necessary:

- Knowledge about Version Control Systems, e.g. Perforce, SVN, CVS
- Experienced in scripting using Perl, TCL, Python or similar
- Knowledge in Makefile programing
- EDA-Tools, e.g. Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor, Ansys

- starting now, minimum three month
