Ground Operations Planner

We are expanding our teams in the Ground Operations sector to take on exiting ESA Ground Segment projects. The position is to be filled with a **weekly working time of 25-30 hours.**

**WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?**

In our team you will **support**the Ground resource planning for the** ESA Ground segment (GS) services** for data distribution of telemetry, command, voice, video and files as part of the** Human Exploration Control Center (HECC)** in order to sustain optimal support to real-time **Columbus flight operations** as well as Payload operations outside the Columbus module**.**

Your main tasks will be:

- ESA GS resource planning and scheduling based on user requests and external scheduling inputs with production of a conflict free schedule of activities.
- Communication of activities impacting ESA GS resource and service availability to external teams and scheduling entities.
- ESA GS access request administration including role management and support to external entities.
- ESA GS voice system user and loop management.
- GCT and SSE on call support coordination.
- GOP software tools engineering management including requirements management, testing and documentation.
- GOP Process and Procedure management.

**WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?**

We are looking for **graduates in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field**with **background and interest in Ground Resource Planing**.

- Engineering degree or comprehensive relevant work experience.
- Familiarity in IT field of Internet/Intranet usage.
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software Suite o MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Excel and Outlook.
- Strong customer service skills with an ability to effectively communicate with various levels of managers and facility users.

We will also value previous experience, and knowledge in space flight or a similar operations control environment. Knowledge of German highly desirable.
