Senior Director Legal Dach

Our legal department plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance and providing strategic legal advice to support our business operations.

**Job Purpose**

To partner with the Regional/Country Board, providing strategic and pragmatic advice with regard to risk, compliance and other general legal issues. Leading the legal function in conjunction with business growth and optimisation helping to develop opportunities where they arise.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage, advise and lead the Regional/Country Legal team.
- Manage complex legal issues and deliver clear, pragmatic legal advice.
- Coordinate with the US and EU Legal teams on global issues and in relation to Country Law.
- Provide guidance and updates to the relevant persons on key changes to local and EU laws and regulations.
- Manage external counsel on issues that are outsourced.
- Advice and assist the Regional/Country business in all litigation matters including commercial and employment disputes.
- Work with the Compliance Team on policy and training issues affecting the Regional/Country business.
- Advice the Regional/Country business on intra-company transactions.
- Provide legal support to the business which may include a wide variety of transactional and non-transactional work including, vendor and customer agreements, contract management, disputes, litigations and compliance matters. As well as the services requiring a wide range of legal skills including risk management, Intellectual Property, Competition and Data Protection Law and all other areas of law relevant to an international IT and telecoms distribution company.

Knowledge Skills and Experience
- German qualified Lawyer with adequate post-qualification experience.
- Experience of managing a team.
- Experience of operating at Board/Senior Management level in a complex environment.
- Experience of handling complex legal cases and providing expert legal advice on complex issues.
- Ability to make clear decisions and create clear and deliverable actions to meet business needs.
- Confident and positive in presenting, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
- A team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with different Legal teams.
- Proficiency in English and German.
