Marketplace Performance Operations Intern

Location: You can join us either in one of our offices in Hamburg, Berlin or Barcelona or 100% remotely in one of the 11 countries where we have a legal entity**

Join our Marketplace Performance team that combines elements of marketing, strategy & pricing in an extremely fast-moving mobility tech business. You will be a full-fledged team member, identifying, sourcing, and supporting the execution of initiatives to help our company grow sustainably. We are looking for a **highly motivated problem solver** to join our young team. This role will offer you **unfiltered insights into how we make decisions** on a daily basis to improve the health of our marketplace & grow the business.

**Role**:

- Reporting to 'Head of Marketplace Operations', you are supporting the definition of marketplace analytics frameworks that enable both central and local teams to spot shortcomings / imbalances in the marketplace health
- In collaboration with marketplace performance, product and local markets, you are in charge of monitoring the health of our marketplaces on a continuous basis (daily, weekly)
- You will perform root-cause analysis of marketplace issues / imbalances using marketplace analytics frameworks
- In close collaboration with the other marketplace operations team members, you will support on building decision trees / playbooks on how to respond to specific shortcomings in a marketplace
- Developing structured dashboards and visualizations to enable regional / local operational teams to self-diagnose marketplace health issues
- Performing structured experiments in collaboration with products managers to optimize the marketplace performance

**Profile**:

- **Experience**:

- Enrolled in a Master's program of Business Administration / Management, Engineering or similar fields
- First experience in one of the following preferred: Data Analytics, Corporate Development, Strategy, M&A or Management Consulting
- Strong plus:

- Ride-hailing / Micro-mobility / Food delivery / other marketplace industry experience
- Familiar with marketing channels and concepts (targeting, segmentation, incrementality, LTV)
- **Hard skills**:

- Data driven decision-making mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking and experimentation
- Innovative mindset focused on doing things better and faster
- Excellent skills in MS Office, experience in Google Suite (Spreadsheet, Slides), Tableau and SQL is strongly preferred
- Fluency in English required
- **Soft skills**:

- Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Very good attention to detail
- Strong collaboration communication skills and ability to manage expectations
- Self-starter with a high level of teamwork and a good sense of humour
- Willingness to go the extra-mile
