Internship - Hybrid Ai for Motion Forecasting in

Your tasks

We are offering an internship opportunity for a motivated and talented student to contribute to the development of cutting-edge hybrid-AI algorithms for autonomous driving at the Continental AI Lab Berlin. This work will focus on bringing together SoTA motion forecasting models with recently developed hybrid AI methods that integrate prior knowledge into deep learning systems. The Continental simulation stack offers the opportunity to interactively test and evaluate your developed model in various simulated scenarios.

This internship starts immediately and has a duration of 6 months. It is also possible to combine a compulsory share with a voluntary internship of up to 3 months. The acitivity takes places onsite.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Literature overview of SoTA models in trajectory forecasting.
- Preprocessing public motion datasets.
- Implementation of a baseline model.
- Integrate prior knowledge into the baseline model.
- Evaluation of the baseline model in the Continental simulation stack.

**Profile**:

- Students enrolled in a Master's program with a focus on computer science, mechatronics, electronics or related field
- Good knowledge of Python
- Basic understanding of machine learning and/or artificial intelligence topics
- Familiarity with machine learning libraries, such as PyTorch/ Keras 3, is advantageous
- Experience with ROS/ Carla is desirable
- Very good handling of MS Office programs
- Fluent English language skills, written and spoken
- Demonstrated ability to learn and be creative, with a strong sense of independence and teamwork
