**Data Scientist Preclinical Development (f/m/d)**

Preclinical drug development is a knowledge
- and data-intensive process that can be facilitated by an in extensive and integrative analysis of data. We are seeking for a motivated Data Scientist (f/m/d) leveraging preclinical data and thereby contributing to our mission to deliver safe drugs to patients.

**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Collaborate with scientists, project managers, IT engineers and others in leveraging scientific data to drive business decisions
- Drive operational processes for digitalization in PCD
- Harmonize and FAIRify data from various sources
- Design and ensure data quality and data governance standards
- Contribute to data sharing initiatives

**WHO YOU ARE**
- University degree in data science, bioinformatics, computational life sciences or in a related field
- Sound programming and technical skills in the area of data harmonization, pipeline-driven data analysis (e.g. using R or Python) and data visualization (e.g. R Shiny, Spotfire, Tableau)
- Practical experience with cloud solutions (e.g. AWS or Azure), interfaces and database systems (e.g. SQL or Oracle)
- Experience with data mesh concept is an advantage and software suites such as KNIME or Pipeline Pilot is desirable
- Understanding of preclinical safety and drug development processes is a plus
- High degree of flexibility, loyalty and motivation as well as good analytical skills and problem-solving mindset
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently as well as cross-functionally in diverse teams
- Excellent communication skills in English, proficiency in German is a plus

**This is a temporary position for 12 months that can be filled in full
- or part-time.**
