This role can be based anywhere commutable to an adidas office globally.- PURPOSE
As a Director Web3 Strategy & Planning you are accountable for high impact strategic initiatives of the adidas web3 portfolio and planning. You will lead the interaction with business units and key markets to define specific web3 tokenomic strategies and seasonal plans.- KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Create and drive implementation of the token economy / web3 strategy, framework and guidelines to ensure premium web3 content creation for all campaigns and products to fuel revenue and adidas web3 business growth
- Lead and steer multiple web3 initiatives by briefing global and cross-functional departments to deliver end to end completion. This includes defining and ensuring logistics for the team to complete (e.g. agendas, materials, reports, presentations and communications).
- Brief and initiate research fields and priorities. Manage the synthesis of research and insights from various data sources to validate objectives.
- Define the impact, ambition and take responsibility for monitoring multiple initiatives. Adapt initiative scope and roadmap in order to achieve objectives and create impact as planned. Act on feedback to guarantee implementation.
- Lead and steer communication between all stakeholders. Ensure consistent and targeted communication based on relevant decision makers.
- Prioritize and track investments across new web3 development initiatives
- Identify and minimize strategic risks regarding web3 plans and ensure risks are transparent to internal and external stakeholders
- KEY RELATIONSHIPS
- Senior Leadership Team, Executive Board, all BUs and Functions, Finance, Corporate Strategy, Sales Strategy, Market Business Development, External Partners
- KNOWLEDGE, CAPABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven track record building / executing frameworks for NFT programs and P&L impact
- Experience with community-driven experience design for existing NFT holders
- Experience in working on global NFT launches
- Knowledge of the web3 landscape, risks, and adidas activities
- Understanding of tokenomics, primary / secondary revenue streams and value creation on chain
- Possess a strong set of skills acquired through advanced training, study and experience
- Broad & deep knowledge in own functional area, combining with broad knowledge of other areas
- Understanding of blockchain / crypto infrastructure, business models and models of organization, for example social tokens and DAO’s.
- Experience with community-driven experience design for existing NFT holders
- Experience in working on global NFT launches
- Knowledge of the web3 landscape, risks, and adidas activities
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience with agile working methods and remote working tools
- Comfortable working with enterprise-level platforms and technologies
- Ability to travel, domestic or international, as required
- Strong MS-Office skills (Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Fluent in English both verbally and written
- QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree (Master preferred) in Marketing or Business Administration
- Minimum 10 years of experience in required field, project management, strategy creation
- Proven track record of establishing credible strategies provoking innovation and entrepreneurial outputs
- As manager of Experts 3-5 years management experience required
- Experience working with stakeholders and experts at various seniority levels
- Experience/involvement in working in and understanding of the web3 / metaverse landscape
