**The Team**
Our DACH team is one of the most strategic and high-impact teams at Celonis—responsible for driving growth in a region that includes some of the most influential and complex enterprise organizations in the world. We partner with DAX-listed corporations, global market leaders, and high-revenue enterprises to support their digital and operational transformation journeys—positioning Celonis as a long-term strategic partner.
While our success to date in DACH has primarily been driven by the private sector, as well as with municipal and state-level utilities, we are now entering a new phase of growth: Building on our global public sector success stories, **we are expanding our strategic focus to the German public sector.**To lead this expansion and shape our long-term presence in this space, we are creating a new senior leadership role**:Head of Public Sector - Germany**.
**The Role**
This is more than a sales leadership role—it's a rare opportunity to shape the future of public sector transformation in Germany. As the **Head of Public Sector - Germany**, you will have the mandate, resources, and executive backing to build something with long-term meaningful impact - for some of the most critical public institutions in the country as well as for Celonis. You will define our strategy and build key relationships at the highest levels. Your focus will be on driving engagement and sales across the largest German governmental ministries and organisations at federal, state and municipal levels, including the Federal Employment Agency, Federal Police as well as Military institutions and Social Services. You will play a pivotal role in positioning Celonis as a strategic transformation partner for these institutions. You will grow and lead a team of Strategic Account Executives and collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders across Direct and Indirect Sales, Partner Management, Value Engineering, Business Development, and Professional Services.
**The Work you'll do**
- Develop and execute a** strategic plan** to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base in the assigned segment/industry
- Clearly communicate the Celonis **industry-specific value proposition** through proposals and presentations and enable your team to do the same with high quality and deep domain knowledge
- **Hire**, manage and **develop** **strong sales talent,** drive individual AE success and foster a great team spirit
- Own and hit/exceed **annual sales targets** within your assigned segment with great control and forecast accuracy
- Build and maintain trusted, long-lasting relationships with customers and partners, ensuring executive alignment and proactive account management
- Support and coach your team to partner effectively with customers, deeply understanding their needs and translating them into tangible outcomes
**The Qualifications you need**
- Deep understanding of the** German public sector**, supported by an established professional network
- Strong **background**in **sales**and/or** management consulting**:
- Demonstrated **leadership experience,** with a history of **building**and **managing high-performing teams**:
- Highly ambitious, driven, and results-oriented with a track record of consistently exceeding revenue targets
- Strong ability to build and maintain C-level relationships and engage with senior stakeholders across complex organizations
- Experience managing complex, long sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
- Ability to navigate direct and matrix organizational structures
- Demonstrated success in working with or through partners—especially consulting firms and enterprise technology providers
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both **German (fluent)** and English
- Self-starter with excellent time management, prioritization, and decision-making skills
