**Research Associate/PhD (M/F/d)**
(E13 TV-L, 100 %)
The project is part of the Covid-19 research network of Lower Saxony (COFONI). The applicant will work in a highly interdisciplinary team in the fields of psychology, statistical modelling, computer science, biomedicine, medical informatics and neurology; and in close cooperation with the Hannover Medical School (MHH).
Tasks include:
- Analyses of existing data sets and integration of data into the central technology platform of the COVID-19 research network of Lower Saxon
- Training of prognostic models for understanding the impact of demographic, immunological and neural markers on cognitive symptoms and their progression in patients with post-COVID-19
- Presentation of research results at scientific congresses and in papers
Recruitment requirements:
- Completed scientific university degree (diploma, master's degree) in the field of psychology, (medical) informatics, neuroscience or comparable courses
- Theoretical knowledge and practical experience in multivariate trajectory modeling by means of structural equations and standard machine learning approaches
- Theoretical knowledge and practical experience in software engineering (requirements analysis, conceptual design and programming) and databases
- Statistical programming on Python and/or R
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English (at least B2 level)
Advantageous are:
- Experience with neuroimaging data processing and analyses
- Experience in web or mobile app development
- Experience with data representation and/or information modelling in the medical sector (e. g. medical interoperability and communication standards and databases)
- Knowledge of spoken and written German
