**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Degree: Associates Degree for Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited at the time of graduation by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
- Certification: Certified through the National Board of Certified Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Experience: One year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant after graduation.
- License: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant.

**Required Skills/Abilities**
- Provide full spectrum of occupational rehabilitative services under the plan of care of a credentialed provider.
- Use assessment tools, intervention techniques and treatment modalities under the plan of care of a credentialed provider.
- Use complex/multi-step instructions with patients, caregivers, and other health care professionals and adapt those instructions according to the learning styles of the trainees or individuals receiving the instructions.
- Identify, recommend and fabricate, as needed, complex adaptive and assistive devices, durable medical equipment and complex dynamic splinting, after consultation with the occupational therapist.
