This covers all current Local National employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany, including U.S. Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES)-Europe within Germany and EXTERNAL Local National Applicants, who reside in Germany. Hauptaufgaben The incumbent performs receptionist, recordkeeping, and clerical duties in the ambulatory setting. Uses automated systems to enter, manipulate, and retrieve patient information. Completes request forms for patient orders and blood work, maintains and monitors appointment schedules, and coordinates appointments with other clinics or specialties.The incumbent receives patients and visitors in person or by phone, manages the Army Medicine Secure Messaging System, records and relays messages, and refers urgent results for immediate action. Verifies eligibility for care, provides information on clinic and hospital policies, communicates delays, and resolves local administrative complaints. Maintains patient records in both electronic and paper formats, ensures proper documentation, monitors quality assurance, and ensures patients complete required forms before provider visits.The incumbent performs clerical duties for in-processing, care, and out-processing of patients and families, notifies staff of arrivals, reconciles end-of-day reports, and types correspondence, reports, and memoranda. Responds to emergency calls, notifies medical personnel, operates emergency communication systems, and provides clear information during emergency operations.Performs other duties as assigned. The immunization will be provided at no cost to the employee. THIS CONCERNS ALL EXTERNAL APPLICANTS:* Generally, you must have been a resident in Germany for at least 12 months. Non-US citizen family members and German citizens are exempt from this requirement.* Your permanent residence must be within Germany.* Police Good Conduct Certificate (Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis): On initial appointment, or re-appointment after a break in service, candidates who have been selected for a position must present a police good-conduct certificate prior to appointment to the position. The applicant must obtain the certificate from the local resident registration office. The cost for the certificate is not reimbursable. Non-U.S. citizen family members, except German citizens are exempt from this requirement.* Upon appointment with the U.S. Forces it is required to present two valid picture identifications to get access to the computer systems. Recognized documents are only: Personal ID (Personalausweis), Personal Travel Identification (Reisepass) and the European Union (EU) Driver's License (plastic card format). We recommend ensuring at the time of application that at least two of these documents are available or requested.* Foreign National Screening (Sicherheitsüberprüfung): In accordance with U.S. Army Europe Regulation 604-1, within three days after appointment, a background check will be initiated to determine suitability for continued employment with the U. S. Forces in Germany.
