Solutions Architect

Bachelor's/Masters degree in a technical field such as computer science, MIS, engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in the design, coding and implementation of complex IT systems
- Experience with two or more development languages such as Java, JavaScript or Python
- Experience in a customer-facing, sales-aligned role such as consultant, solutions engineer or solutions architect
- Strong problem-solving skills; the ability to analyze problems and develop actionable and appropriate tactical plans quickly

Key job responsibilities
- Be a trusted technical advisor to your customer. Root cause issues and provide resolution to unblock development or improve the Alexa experience.
- Give presentations and demonstrations of new Amazon technologies
- Manage complex projects end-to-end with measurable impact
- Identify opportunities to deliver experiences that demonstrate what is possible with Alexa Skills
- Advocate internally for developer features and functionality that will help facilitate world class Alexa skills
- Actively collaborate with internal and external teams, leveraging diverse perspectives in your decision-making
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the SA community
- Be able to build and demonstrate latest tech features for Alexa to architect solutions to difficult problems

- Relevant years in a customer-facing (internal or external) technical role, influencing product design and/or direction
- Experience developing or architecting cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, Azure, private cloud)
- Demonstrated effectiveness working across multiple business units to achieve results
- Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects
