Head of Networks

team leading the Group’s international onshore development.
The Networks Manager is a critical role within the Onshore Renewables Business,
focusing on the delivery of large-scale onshore wind and solar projects in Germany.
Belonging to the Network Team and reporting to the Networks Head and Programme
Manager, the Network Manager will be fully responsible for the delivery of the Grid
Connection projects (Substation, Overhead Line, High Voltage Underground Cables,
Switching centers, etc.) including project management, tendering, negotiating with
contractors and managing engineering and construction services contracts; planning,
implementing, monitoring and controlling the delivery of tasks associated with Grid and
Networks connections, while following the company and business engineering standards
and technical acceptance criteria, and ensuring quality, best practices and excellent
H&SE performance are applied.

The role will take the lead managing the portfolio of projects and the communication
and coordination with internal and external stakeholders, such as contractors, suppliers,
DSO´s and TSO´s, and local authorities for the Networks Transmission infrastructures
(Substation and Export Power Lines) associated with Iberdrola´s wind farm and solar
plants in Germany. The individual will be also an expert on the construction of Networks
infrastructure, able to manage the Networks construction phase and make decisions
from a Construction perspective across the onshore project portfolio, as well as with a
very high technical background to ensure the constructability of the engineering design.
The individual will be working as part of a global business with activities in many
locations across Germany. The position may require travelling to various locations across
the country and abroad and the individual should be capable of managing teams working
at different project locations and contractors.

**_ Tasks for this role will include:_**:
Networks project management activities across Iberdrola Germany onshore
renewable project portfolio, providing key expertise, assessment and
recommendations to ensure the delivery of projects on time, under authorized
budget and meeting quality standards by following the highest industry practice
and observing the maximum respect for Health, Safety and the Environment to
ensure regulatory and legal compliance.
Provide support to the Business Development team for project Due Diligence,
and Greenfields.
- Ensure the constructability of the engineering and designs.
Prepare the tender documentation for the Owner Engineering support and
construction services contracts and carry out the technical assessment of the
bids.
Review progress by Contractors challenging them on their proposals.

**_ Required qualifications_**:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, related field or the equivalent
combination of education. Master degree / Chartered Engineering will also be of
consideration.
10 + years’ experience in the energy industry, in Network and Grid connection
engineering and construction.
Experience with construction and commissioning of substations and transmission
lines projects.
Ideally experience in construction of wind / solar / batteries projects.
- German (Native).
English (full professional competence).
Spanish and Other Languages will be positively considered.
