Tax Operations Lead

In this exciting chapter of continued growth and expansion for Chase, we’re looking for a passionate Tax Operations Lead (all genders) who will provide insight to help us improve our overall performance, customer experience and business engagement.

As a Tax Operations Lead, you will work closely with Head of Banking Operations and your team to make sure we are performing across all our areas and ensure to create the best in class customer experience.

You will analyse performance data and extract data to come up with actions to constantly improve your team performance, the customer experience and the business engagement. You will play an important role in ensuring that we are compliant with the regulatory requirements and that we act as advocates for our customer.

**Core responsibilities**
- Be an expert for all tax related queries and support your team with your expert knowledge
- Operate daily controls and tasks to ensure the department’s Regulatory Tax obligations are completed within the expected timeframes
- Support the entire reconciliation/preparation process before reporting to tax authorities
- Build and execute tax operations processes and controls
- Conduct analysis and drive resolution of complex organisational problems and initiatives
- Collaborate with Change and Technology partners to design and test system developments and updates to ensure adherence to Regulations and improvement of existing processes
- Create and lead a high performing Tax Operations Team
- Show passion about leading people and their personal development
- Collaborate with various Stakeholder from different Departments to ensure our customer will get the best in class Service

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Previous experience in a leadership function within tax operations
- Working knowledge of tax duties of a Retail bank in Germany
- Advanced regulatory knowledge of German Retail Banking landscape
- Understanding of risks arising with Operational Tax processes and an ability to articulate these to Management
- Fluent in German / English

**Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills**
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or Masters degree in Accounting/Taxation
- Highly organised with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Change Management and Process design experience
- Project management skills, including the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
